| GUTTER-LINE
Seamless GRP Gutter Lining System. A
Permanent Solution to leaking Valley Gutters both Commercial & Domestic.
GUTTER-LINE fibreglass linings
are built in situ, virtually eliminating the need for stripping out of glazing
bars, roof sheets, closure panels and flashings. Using the very latest GRP technology
combined with tried and tested yacht construction techniques we can produce an
independent lining to most valley gutters. |
| |
Because we use part preformed
materials in the on-site construction of our gutter linings, we are normally able
to increase the size and volume of each gutter and offer the option of introducing
more outlets, insulation and weir ends etc. (see our FAQ's
page). The
GUTTER-LINE GRP lining is seamless, structural and lightweight. The completed
lining has great strength and durability and will not be effected by foot traffic,
even where regular access is required. A range of surface finishes and colours
are also available. Adjacent
cappings, cladding and flashings can also be incorporated into the GRP structure,
encapsulating failed render or failed copings permanently. |

A
GRP Gutter Lining under construction |
The main component of the
GUTTER-LINE system is the preformed GRP base layer, FLEX-BASE.
Once the FLEX-BASE sheet has
been cut to size it is fixed into position within the gutter, forming both upstands,
the base layer, weir ends and outlets etc. Wet laid fibreglass is then used to
laminate the lining sheets together, forming an intrinsically waterproof and independent
gutter lining. The
base (sole) of the gutter is then reinforced with a synthetic core material, sandwiched
between additional layers of glassfibre. To complete the gutter lining, a layer
of lightfast polyester Gel-coat (flow-coat) resin is applied, normally lead grey
although other colours are available (imitation
lead/stone work has successfully installed at period properties and
even listed buildings). | |
The finished structure
should far exceed the 20 year guarantee period. For
further information, or to download a data sheet for GUTTER-LINE or FLEX-BASE,
please see our contact
page.
A free copy of the GRP Practicle Handbook (a guide for the correct use of fibreglass
within the construction industry) is also available. |
